Health Systems was formed in 1994 in response to the need for quality nurse consulting services in geriatric and early childhood environments. Our work started as licensed nurses visiting child care centers to assist in health and safety compliance through audits and seminars. Through this effort, we witnessed improvement in infection control measures and the reduction of disease transmission and illness in child care settings.

Being active participants in early education settings, we acknowledged the need to support the whole child across all domains (physical, social emotional, cognitive) and have continued to add consulting services in curriculum development, high-quality instructional practices, trauma-informed and resilience trainings, and emergency services certifications. We strive to empower educators with the knowledge and tools to consistently provide learning environments that welcome and support the growth of all children, no matter the age or developmental level.

To do so, we have maintained an almost 20 year partnership with with the Illinois Network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (INCCRRA) to provide early childhood workshops relevant to Quality Rating System (QRS) and ExceleRate. All training content coordinates with DCFS standards and current early childhood national guidelines. In 2014, we expanded to serving students and staff in K-12 public and private programs across Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin. We continue to increase our partnerships with state and national agencies as trainers, mentors and coaches in the field of health and education.
